A Nostalgia to Difficulties
I've been drawing with oil pastel these days.
It is easier for me to use and play with than paint.
It does not require preparation, and it suits my nature.
I can create more and more because it's easy.
It is a material that can catch up with what is overflowing out of me.
I've realized that the material you use will change as your consciousness changes.
Oil pastel appeared in my life as I decided to live easier.
I've been drawing with oil pastel almost everyday now.
I can continue to use it because I can create without using my head while I'm working on my main project.
I like that carefreeness.
I believe that that carefree energy has dwelled on my work.
In order to achieve this result or make something like this, I have to take this process and do this and that...
I think I had that attitude towards a lot of things.
The attitude to prioritize the results.
I suddenly lost interest in it.
I've lost joy in conquering difficulties.
Therefore, I've been quitting that attitude little by little.
I would like to pursue easiness more from now.
Because I just find simple things are becoming more interesting.
I've been feeling that my sight has expanded much more since I began choosing easiness.
I miss a bit the time when I thought life was difficult.
A strange nostalgia.

最近よくオイルパステルを使って絵を描いている。
絵の具よりも簡単に使えて遊べる。
準備がまずいらないので、とても自分の性に合っている。
簡単だからどんどん生み出せる。
溢れ出るものに追いついてくれる画材。
意識が変わると使う素材も変わってくるんだな、と気づいた。
もっと簡単に楽に生きてみようと思って、僕の人生に現れてきてくれたオイルパステル。
今は、ほぼ毎日オイルパステルを使って何か描いている。
メインで取り組んでいるプロジェクトの傍で頭を使わずにやれるから続けられる。
その気楽さが気に入っている。
きっとその気楽さのエネルギーは作品に乗っているんじゃないかと思う。
この結果になるために、こんなものを作るために、この工程を踏んで、こうしてこうやって…。
前はいろんなことに対してそんなスタンスを取ってたように思う。
結果重視のスタンス。
それに突然興味がなくなった。
難しさを攻略することに喜びを見出せなくなった。
だから今、そういうスタンスを少しずつ止めていっている。
これからはもっと簡単さを追求していきたい。
単純にシンプルなものが面白くなってきているから。
簡単を選び始めてから、視界の大きな広がりが感じられている。
人生を難しいものだと思っていた頃がちょっと懐かしい。
