To create my artwork, I begin with a feeling I get from the energy of the subject, and integrate that with my own imagination. Sketching out the figures freehand, I then tear by hand small pieces of origami and mulberry paper. One by one, I arrange each paper piece on the canvas. As the world moves faster and faster and becomes more digitalized, my response is the beauty of humanity and simplification; I show how patience and human skill itself is imaginative, hallucinative and limitless.
